Career Services Guidelines
The goal of the Career Services office is to provide a comprehensive service that will bridge the transition between academia and the workforce. We promote individual career decision making by offering educational opportunities and resources to assist students with the life-long career development process.
Career Services offers guidance at every stage of career development. Career counseling and assessments are available to help students in the initial stages of career exploration. For those students ready to enter the job market or graduate school, assistance is available with:
• Resumes 
• Cover letters
• Interview preparation
• Applications
• Personal statements
In addition, arrangements can be made for:
• Job shadowing
• Informational interviews
• Etiquette dinners
Career Services and the Work Program
Career Services partners with the Work Program and alumni to give students a significant advantage. Through the Work Program, students gain valuable, real life experience making it easy to create an impressive resume. Blackburn alumni are more than willing to mentor students and provide networking opportunities.
