The Career Services office at Blackburn has developed an alumni mentoring program for students enrolled in CA 401 “Career-Entry Seminar.” This is an elective course for juniors and seniors that focuses on job search skills. Topics include locating job and career information, developing a resume, and interviewing skills.
During this course, a student is matched with a volunteer alumnus or alumna who agrees to receive the student’s cover letter and resume. The volunteer agrees to assess the materials and offer constructive criticism. The student then follows up with a phone call during which the volunteer provides feedback and discusses other professional matters pertaining to today’s workforce that may be of interest or beneficial to the student.
This form is for any Blackburn alumni who would like to be considered for the program. While completion of this form is necessary for consideration, it does not guarantee that one will be matched with a student, as the number of participating students is limited. You will, however, be contacted by the Career Services in any event. Any questions about the program may be directed to:
