SUMMARY:Humanities Salon: The Campfire Salon
DESCRIPTION:Wear your coziest flannels for a Salon around the fire! Bring us your most chilling mysteries\, your favorite family lore\, and your best outdoor-themed creations. \nHistorically\, a Salon was a gathering of people who came together to exchange and discuss intellectual and artistic ideas of the day. Fancy attire was worn and tea and cakes were served. To honor this tradition and establish a creative community at Blackburn for writers\, artists\, performers\, and lovers of all art\, the English & Communications hosts our own Humanities Salon\, which is open to all students\, faculty\, and staff who want to: \n● read their own creative work;\n● perform a short musical\, theatrical\, dance\, or any stage act;\n● share and discuss an original work of art;\n● share any work of art of any medium that you simply love;\n● listen and be part of the creative community at Blackburn.

DESCRIPTION:Friday\, November 21 at 7 pm\nSaturday\, November 22 at 7 pm\nSunday\, November 23 at 2 pm\n\nBlackburn College’s Department of Music and Theatre is thrilled to present “A Doll’s House.” It will take place in Bothwell Auditorium on November 21 and 22 at 7 pm and on November 23 at 2 pm. \nThe play follows Nora\, a housewife\, as she is forced to confront the realities of her past and the personal cost of the illusion of perfection. The now-famous title of the play “A Doll’s House” is symbolic of Nora’s view of her life as if she were outside of it\, like a doll. \nAdmission is FREE for Blackburn students\, faculty\, and staff. \nGeneral admission tickets are $10. \nFor more information please contact theatre@blackburn.edu
