DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in playing video games with friends as an extracurricular activity? Looking for a fun competitive environment or a place to try out some new games? \nFor the first time the Blackburn Computer Science Department is putting on the Intramural Gaming League. Participants will go head to head in teams of 4\, competing weekly in different games. We won’t just be playing just one game\, but a new one each week over a 6 week period to test a variety of skill sets\, making team balancing all the more essential. \nStudents\, staff\, and faculty are welcome to participate. You can come with a team of four put together\, or you can come with fewer than that. At the starting date\, you will be placed or combined with other groups or people to create a team of four. DESCRIPTION:Jim Dahlquist\, from The Illinois Auditor General’s Office is seeking to connect with students and faculty to discuss internship opportunities for the spring and summer 2024 semesters\, as well as full-time auditors for those graduating by December 2023 or May 2024. \nAuditing is more than just numbers; it can also be performance based. Some majors who may be interested include accounting\, business management\, HR\, marketing\, political science\, criminal justice.\, English\, creative writing\, psychology\, law\, and anyone interested in social or human services. \nHe will be here Wednesday\, October 4th\, from 3:30 to 4:30PM in the DCC Lobby to meet with students and faculty.

DESCRIPTION:The Blackburn College Department of Music & Theatre will present their fall production “Almost\, Maine” in Bothwell Auditorium on Friday\, September 29\, and Saturday\, September 30\, at 7 pm. The play is produced by Blackburn’s Department of Music and Theatre and will be directed by Dr. Collin Vorbeck\, Professor of Theatre.  \nVorbeck explained\, “Almost\, Maine is one of the most popular plays produced by colleges and universities over the past decade.
