Recent graduate Haley Haynes ’16 made a name for herself during her time at Blackburn College. From Bradley, IL, Haley was deeply involved in activities at Blackburn College during her four years. As senior class president, former administration department manager, and an admissions committee member, Haley gained the skills and built a strong resume to ensure success after graduation.
As a high school senior, Haley visited Blackburn’s campus and instantly fell in love. “I am so happy with my decision to come here,” she said. While at Blackburn, Haley took advantage of every opportunity that came her way. In addition to class president, she served at Jones Hall president for two years, was a Phi Gamma Nu business fraternity co-fundraising chair, worked for two years as a student mentor for the Give Something Back Foundation, and acted as an orientation leader during summers.
Haley has also found a career path after working in Blackburn’s Office of Admissions. “This job became my life,” she said. She has already put these skills to work. In the months since graduation she accepted a position as an admissions counselor for DeVry University’s Nashville, TN campus.
Haley’s college experience allowed her to build wonderful relationships while a student at Blackburn, not only with fellow students, but faculty and staff. “It was like a second family,” she said. The Blackburn experience also taught Haynes much about life, including dealing with stress and multiple commitments.
Haley made many memories while at Blackburn and had a great start of a career in admissions work.
