Blackburn College, a unique four-year liberal arts college with a student-managed work program located in Carlinville, IL, seeks applications for an Associate Registrar.  The successful candidate will hold strong communication, and critical thinking skills while demonstrating excellent customer service towards students and colleagues.  The Associate Registrar works with the Registrar to maintain and ensure the quality and integrity of student, course, and degree audit records; maintain transfer equivalencies; develop the schedule of classes and the college catalog; and support the college’s academic mission.  The Associate Registrar, in conjunction with the Registrar, oversees and trains student workers to maximize the Work Program experience.  The successful candidate will be comfortable with technology and eager to learn and become expert in the student information system software that houses the college’s academic data. 

Bachelor’s degree  is required; master’s degree or experience in higher education registrar office and a bachelor’s degree preferred. The successful candidate must be willing to work occasional weekends or evenings and be able to work effectively as part of a team of staff, students, and faculty members.  Essential attributes for this position include comfort and a willingness to learn new technology, and eagerness to work with students, especially with student workers in the records office, and attention to detail.
