Blackburn College, a unique four-year liberal arts college with a student-managed work program located in Carlinville, IL, seeks applications for Corporate and Foundation Relations Officer. The CFRO has the primary responsibility for researching grant opportunities, proposal preparation, grant management/oversight, and developing relationships with funding partners including corporations, foundations, and government agencies. Responsible for engaging with colleagues to facilitate proposal development and identify potential fundraising strategies to meet university needs, with a focus on building a pipeline of corporate, foundation, and government funding.

A Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree or advanced certifications preferred. At least 3 years (5 preferred) experience with demonstrated ability to write compelling proposals and develop content for alumni and donor audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google docs and sheets, and database programs. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, team-oriented, strong time management skills, and ability to work independently and be self-directed. Ability/willingness to travel (domestic) on a limited basis  and mentor/supervise student worker(s) as assigned.
