Student Wellbeing Coordinator
Office of Student LifeBlackburn College, a unique four-year liberal arts college with a student-managed work program located in Carlinville, IL, seeks applications for the position of Student Wellbeing Coordinator. This position reports to the Director of Student Success and the Director of Counseling Services and will assist with student success and retention.
The candidate will be responsible for short term and periodic support interventions, assist with student caseload management from Blackburn’s Early Alert Support Team, facilitation of the college’s peer mentor program, management of accommodations and services under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and assist with new student orientation programs. The candidate will have close collaboration with faculty, staff, and students including supervision of student workers.
A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other related fields is strongly preferred for this position. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in social work, counseling, or other related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience working with students in K-12 or Higher Education. Additional requirements include a student-centered mindset, strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to work occasional evening shifts.
