Study abroad is an invaluable experience for students who seek to earn academic credit while learning about a new culture and gaining international experience. Blackburn College offers semester and summer study abroad programs to qualified students in all majors.
Timeline:
You should begin planning for a study abroad experience as early as possible by talking to your academic advisor and the Study Abroad Coordinator. Students typically study abroad during their sophomore, junior or senior year at Blackburn. Information sessions are held each fall, and applications are due in January for the upcoming summer and academic year (fall or spring).
Cost:
During the abroad semester students are billed as a residents, including applicable financial aid and are responsible for Blackburn room and board fees. The Office of Study Abroad pays the cost of the study abroad program’s tuition, room and board. The Office of Study Abroad will make every effort to cover airfare to/from the international destination.
