Blackburn’s Academic Support Services are largely based in the Lumpkin Student Success Center. Staffed primarily by student-tutors, support services provide academic assistance to students of all majors and class standings. The Student Success Center also offers study sessions, CO 105 (College 101) and the Writer’s Block.

Monday-Thursday: 8:00am – 11:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday: CLOSED
Sunday: 3:00pm – 11:00pm
Some portions of Lumpkin may be closed for short durations to allow for extensive cleaning.

Study Sessions
Peer tutors hold weekly sessions around campus to help students study for specific courses. Students who attend these sessions learn essential strategies for academic success.
Writer’s Block
The Writer’s Block is open to any student who needs help writing a paper. Trained writing assistants hold open hours in the Block to organize and sharpen written work.
Library Resources
Students have access to approximately 55,000 physical volumes and multiple electronic databases such as EBSCO and JSTOR.
