- Miles Station to Headline Saturday Night Full Tank Finale
- Return of Barney’s Hide & Squeak and New Event Blackburn Marketplace
Blackburn College is excited to announce that local favorite Miles Station will headline the Full Tank Finale, the featured closing celebration of the College’s 2026 Homecoming & Family Weekend, taking place September 25–27.
This year’s Homecoming theme, “A Blackburn Road Trip: Where All Roads Lead Back to Blackburn,” invites alumni, students, families, friends, and members of the Carlinville community to come together for a weekend celebrating the connections that make Blackburn and Carlinville such special places.
The Full Tank Finale, scheduled for Saturday evening, will feature live music by Miles Station, food, drinks, dancing under the stars, and interactive photo booth experiences. The event serves as the final stop on a weekend filled with activities designed to bring alumni back to campus and welcome the broader community to join the fun.
“We are thrilled to have Miles Station headline our Saturday evening celebration,” said Alisha Kapp, Executive Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations. “As we planned this year’s road trip-themed Homecoming, it was important to create opportunities that not only welcome alumni home but also celebrate the partnership between Blackburn College and the Carlinville community.”
Throughout the weekend, community members are encouraged to attend a variety of events, including athletic competitions, reunions, family activities, and the new Roadside Finds: The Blackburn Marketplace on Saturday. The outdoor marketplace will feature alumni vendors, local businesses, artists, makers, and entrepreneurs showcasing a variety of products and services along Blackburn Drive.
Visitors can also enjoy the return of Barney’s Hide & Squeak, a community-wide scavenger hunt that sends participants throughout Carlinville searching for clues and prizes, as well as the Blackburn 5K, which will take runners and walkers through neighborhood streets.
Whether attending a sporting event, browsing the marketplace, enjoying live music, or simply reconnecting with friends, Blackburn College hopes Homecoming & Family Weekend will provide opportunities for alumni and community members alike to celebrate the shared relationship between the College and Carlinville.
Registration for Homecoming & Family Weekend is open, and a full schedule of events, registration information, lodging options, and weekend details are available at blackburn.edu/homecoming.
