Mission

The Center for Teaching & Learning advances Blackburn College’s educational mission by supporting a community of diverse educators. The Center promotes professional learning through progressive, evidence-based pedagogy and the development of learner-focused classrooms. We strive to support a transformational educational experience for students who choose to attend Blackburn College.

          The Center for Teaching & Learning hosts regular events, including informal luncheons, professional learning shareouts, and occasional workshops. You can also find resources, including the Center’s library holdings, academic sources, links to conferences, and professional learning videos.

          Feedback is a powerful influence on learning and achievement, but its effectiveness depends on the type, delivery, and circumstances, and this article analyzes these factors while proposing a model for improving feedback in classrooms.
