Blackburn College will host a virtual information event for its Online Professional Education Programs on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 7:00 pm CST. The session is designed for individuals interested in advancing their education or launching a career in teaching.

The information event will highlight the benefits of Blackburn’s flexible online programs, including:

  • Courses designed for busy professionals and are 100% online.
  • Insight into class structure and how students can build supportive connections.
  • Individualized mentoring from experienced faculty members.
  • Details on program eligibility, financial aid options, and next steps to apply.

Programs Featured in the Session:

Teacher Licensure Program

Accelerated training to prepare people with bachelor’s degrees in other fields to transition into the classroom, focusing on areas and schools most in need. Participants train with Blackburn’s Teacher Education Department in three semesters, gaining hands-on classroom experience and preparing to pass certification exams and be teaching full-time in three (3) semesters by fall 2026.

Online Early Childhood Education Program

Designed for early childhood education professionals to complete a bachelor’s degree or help enhance Gateway credentials. Graduates will gain the training to advance their careers and become licensed, highly qualified educators. This program combines personal experiences and connections between students and experienced professors. Many organizations offer financial support to employees to increase their credentials.
