Discover Life As A Blackburn College Student at Upcoming Fall Open House Event

Meet Professors and Students, Explore Campus, Receive Instant Admissions, and Learn about the Powerful Impact of our Distinct Work Program When You Attend

Blackburn College will welcome interested students and families to campus for a Fall Open House on Monday, October 13, 2025, beginning at 9:00 am. Hosted by the Admissions and Financial Aid teams, the event is open to both future first-time and transfer students who want to learn more about academic programs, student life, and the admissions process.

During the event, prospective students and their guests will tour Blackburn’s beautiful 80-acre campus, meet current students and professors for personal conversations, learn about campus life and the nation’s only student-managed Work Program, connect with Admissions and Financial Aid counselors to discuss scholarship and aid opportunities, and receive instant admissions decisions by bringing transcripts for review.

Justin Norwood, Vice President for Inclusive Enrollment and a Blackburn graduate, emphasized how impactful the experience can be. “An Open House is more than just an information session. It’s an opportunity to imagine yourself as part of our community. You’ll not only meet professors and staff who are invested in your success, but you’ll also connect with other prospective students who may end up becoming your first friends at Blackburn. We know that finding the right college is a big decision, and our team is committed to helping every student discover a place where they feel supported, challenged, and inspired.”

The day will highlight how Blackburn’s one-of-a-kind approach to education — where students earn their degree while gaining real-world work experience through the student-managed Work Program — gives graduates a competitive advantage after college. Students and families will also have the chance to learn about unique opportunities, like a financial aid approach designed to meet individual student needs.
