About Me

Annah Browning joined the Blackburn College faculty in the fall of 2020. She teaches creative writing, literature, and first-year writing, with special interests in poetry, British literature, and speculative genres such as gothic horror, fantasy, and science fiction. She is also the faculty advisor for Blackburn’s student literary and arts magazine, The Lodge. Born and raised in South Carolina, she is the author of the poetry collection Witch Doctrine (University of Akron Press, 2020) and the poetry chapbook The Marriage (Horse Less Press, 2013). She is also a founding co editor of the literary journal Grimoire Magazine and the recipient of recognitions from Vermont Studio Center, the Association of Writers and Writing Programs, and the Academy of American Poets.
