Marketing Apply For Free

Marketing is a dynamic field. It needs innovative people that can develop new products and market them in unique ways. There are growth opportunities for many different aspects in marketing whether you want to focus on research or branding or promotions. Classes can help prepare students who wish to go on for their MBA and other marketing related careers.

The business department emphasizes experiential learning through various field trips, internships, and labor negotiation day. 98% of the business graduates have jobs in their field within 6 months of graduating. Students also have the opportunity to compete in a national student advertising competition (NSAC) through the American Advertising Federation.

Students get the opportunity to participate in activities such as field trips to a manufacturing facility and a service facility so students gain a better understanding of how the concepts being taught are implemented into every type of business. Numerous in-class experiential learning activities include planning and implementing with the use of legos, how to run meetings effectively and efficiently and how to solve problems.

Work Program Connections

Blackburn connects your classroom knowledge with career-specific skills, insight, experiences, and connections — everything you need for a successful career launch. In the Work Program, Business Marketing students have to chance to work directly with the Office of Marketing & Public Relations on-campus. For those interested more in advertising, department such as the Bookstore, Admissions and the Athletic Department needs students that can provide marketing skills. Students interested in Market Research should try to work in Institutional Research, which teaches them how to write surveys and interprets results.
