The Carpentry / Building Maintenance Crew provides a number of necessary services to the college community.

Job Description

Essential job functions include:

• Structural and finish carpentry work including: repair, construction and painting of interior/exterior walls, doors/door frames, windows, floors, ceilings, cabinets, countertops, etc.
• Care for all wall, ceiling, and floor surfaces including minor plaster repair, wallpapering, tiling, and carpenting
• Repair of door locks and knob sets
• Minor tuckpointing, masonry, and concrete work
• Roof repair, cleaning and repairs of gutters and downspouts
• Cleaning and maintenance of shop and equipment
• Set-ups and tear-downs for campus events

Other general maintenance and grounds duties as assigned

Qualifications

Preference will be given to the following. 

• Ability to be on time
• Dress in appropriate clothing and footwear – work boots are required
• Accountability for maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Some evening or emergency shifts may be required
• Some heavy lifting may be required
• Previous experience is desired, but not required.
