The Blackburn College’s Career Development Center provides assistance to current students and graduates in career planning, development, and job-seeking strategies. We are here to assist students in identifying and fulfilling their future goals and aspirations.
Students receive personalized guidance as they begin their steps toward a successful professional journey. This includes exploring majors and career paths, creating professional materials (resumes, cover letters, and social media profiles), and learning effective interview techniques. We offer a variety of events and vetted off-campus job opportunities to connect with hiring employers and graduate school recruiters.
Investing in your future by getting a quality education at Blackburn should be a source of pride for not only you but you and your family. We want to help ensure that investment pays off.
First Destination Survey
What is the First Destination Survey? Blackburn College’s First Destination Survey captures information regarding how new college graduates fare in their careers within six months of graduation. The annual initiative provides clear, concise, and consistent data on the outcomes associated with a college education on a local and national scale. Outcomes include:
- types of employment—full or part time, contract, freelance, and so forth;
- additional education, e.g., accepted to graduate or professional school;
- still seeking either employment or further education;
- and job titles of employed graduates.
