Job Description

The Utilities Crew provides a number of necessary services to the campus community. 

Essential job functions include:

• electrical work
• lighting repair
• bulb and ballast changes
• working on voltages up to 240 VAC 3 phase
• plumbing work
• repair and maintenance of water, air and gas supply lines
• sewer work, such as unclogging blockages and chemical treating
• boiler work
• whole building heating systems
• repair and maintenance of blowers, motors, pumps, and control systems
• set-ups and tear-downs for campus events

Other general maintenance and grounds duties as assigned

Qualifications

Preference will be given to the following. 

• Ability to be on time
• Dress in appropriate clothing and footwear – work boots are required
• Accountability for maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Some evening or emergency shifts may be required
• Some heavy lifting may be required
