CARLINVILLE — Blackburn College has announced that Morgan Hauser, who served as an assistant coach at MacMurray College this past season, has been named the new head volleyball coach at Blackburn.
A native of Moline, Hauser played at Lincoln Land Community College and MacMurray. She was an outside hitter in her two seasons at MacMurray, where she was name to the All-St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Team both seasons.
Hauser also set the MacMurray school record for kills in a season and was named Offensive Most Valuable Player both seasons.
At LLCC, she was a utility hitter as the Loggers went a combined 66-17 in her two years there.
While coaching at MacMurray, Hauser also handled transfer recruiting, game-day operations, team travel and compliance paperwork. She also was administrative assistant for the athletic department.
Hauser also served as assistant coach at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, in 2016 and 2017. She earned her master’s degree at Bethany, where she also assisted with recruiting and was administrative for the athletic department.
Houser also served as coach of the Capital Area Volleyball Club from 2012-15.
