Blackburn College’s Giving Day is on Friday, May 15th! Rally your classmates, family, and friends to come together to make a profound difference in the lives of our students and our College.
Your generous support is something we depend on year after year! All gifts of all sizes will transform lives of Blackburn students and inspire hope for the future.
Giving Day Sponsors & Specials
Blackburn College has partnered with local businesses in the Carlinville community for a Week of Help & Hope. For the week leading up to Giving Day, participating local restaurants and shops will donate a portion of their proceeds to support Blackburn students.
The entire Week of Help & Hope is sponsored by The Wood Duck. Make sure to stop by and show your support.
Shop to Support! Visit these local businesses during their sponsorship days/hours, and they will donate a percentage of their proceeds to Giving Day!
- Monday, May 11 – Hawthorn Tree Coffeehouse – 6:30 am to 5:00 pm
- Wednesday, May 13 – Taylor’s Mexican Chili Parlor – 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
- Thursday, May 14 – 1917 Home Decor & Co. – 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Friday, May 15 – Crowe Boot & Shoe Co. – 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
What is Giving Day?
The purpose of Giving Day is to engage our community to advance the mission of the College while raising critical funding for student needs.
Giving Day is Blackburn’s largest fundraising event, when people around the world come together to celebrate and support what they love about the College.
Giving Day is an opportunity to show your love to Blackburn! Alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of Blackburn are encouraged to participate. Your donations to Blackburn College can support scholarships, student services, enhanced academic programs and MUCH MORE!

The Rock Challenge
Give $250 or more and we will put your name on the Rock for the duration of Giving Day!
Class of 1977
All gifts from the class of 1977 will be doubled until we hit $5,000!
Class of 1982
All gifts from the class of 1982 will be doubled until we hit $2,500!
New Con
If you worked in New Con, a group of former New Con Work Heads will match your gift 2-for-1 until we reach $5,000 in Honor of Marvin Jubelt.
