At Blackburn College, the legacy of institutional history and cherished memories is meticulously preserved within an extensive collection of papers and photographs. Former librarians have valiantly assembled these historical treasures from various corners of the campus, consolidating them into a single repository. However, in this era of digital accessibility and evolving archival practices, few of the materials in the archive were preserved or protected, and they were not easily accessible.

Until now.

Blackburn College began efforts to modernize its archival operations to better serve its community.

In this early stage, you can find course catalogs, dated photos, and yearbooks, but the Library Director and Lumpkin student workers will continue to follow their strategic roadmap and add more content throughout the years.

This project was funded in part by an Experiential Work Learning Grant from the Work Colleges Consortium.
