Classes can help prepare students who wish to go on for their MBA and other marketing related careers.
The business department emphasizes experiential learning through various field trips, internships, and labor negotiation day. 98% of the business graduates have jobs in their field within 6 months of graduating. Students also have the opportunity to compete in a national student advertising competition (NSAC) through the American Advertising Federation.
Students get the opportunity to participate in activities such as field trips to a manufacturing facility and a service facility so students gain a better understanding of how the concepts being taught are implemented into every type of business. Numerous in-class experiential learning activities include planning and implementing with the use of legos, how to run meetings effectively and efficiently and how to solve problems.
