Alpha Psi Omega is a performing arts group. Its members strive to become performers in their own right through their commitment to excellence, honor, and dedication.
The primary purposes of this organization are to encourage students to take an interest in Fine Arts, give students access to art movements and artists they have never heard of, encourage students to try new mediums, and encourage students to create their own art outside of class.

This campus organization is titled Cardinal Directions to Life Paths, also known as Life Paths for short. The purpose of this group is to help provide ways to answer life questions, provide a place of safety for all cultural and religious belief systems, and to create a community on campus. The goal is for members to discuss their personal interpretations of values and beliefs in order to gain a better understanding of themselves and the world around them.
The Challacombe House Council is formed to bring the residents of Challacombe, residents of other residence halls, and commuters who are interested together for different events and programs and to make sure the voices of our fine residents are heard and accounted for. The Challacombe House Council’s goal is to establish events and programs that are fun, stress relieving, and educational on certain occasions.
The purpose of this organization shall be to promote and uphold school spirit, to develop a sense of good sportsmanship among students, and to better the turnouts to athletic events. The cheerleading squad is here to represent the student body in a positive way. Open communication and cooperative relationships will bond our squad together and also the student body.

The vision of Fellowship of Christian Athletes is “to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.” The mission is “to present to coaches and athletes, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.” As a part of this organization, our purpose to bring devotionals and service projects to the students and athletes of Blackburn College and to show them how to further their relationship with Jesus Christ on the court, field, etc.

Habitat for Humanity International, Inc. (“Habitat”), a Georgia nonprofit corporation, is an ecumenical Christian Housing organization that seeks to eliminate poverty housing from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people from all walks of life to work together in partnership to help build houses with families in need. The Blackburn College Campus Chapter (the “chapter”) has been established to assist Habitat by working with any local affiliate or with Habitat’s international headquarters.
It will be the primary purpose(s) of this organization to better the residents’ living experience in Jewell Hall, be active in the campus community, build a distinctive and active community within the residence hall, and foster an environment where learning and development is the primary focus.

In addition, we will seek to work together with other groups on campus to promote participation and awareness of campus life.

The primary purposes of this organization are to introduce members to professional aspects of health related careers, engage the broader professional community by inviting speakers to educate students on various aspects of health professions, share information about strategies and opportunities for exploring and preparing for health professions, and allow members to experience various aspects of health related fields by taking off campus excursions.

The purpose of the Blackburn Psychology Club is to demonstrate fundamental and practical applications of psychology. It is anticipated that each member will gain knowledge pertaining to the field of psychology and become more confident and better prepared to apply to and enter graduate programs, research programs, and the professional world of psychology.
The purpose of this organization is to help people become interested in running. Blackburn Running Club is a resource for anybody who wants to run, whether they are taking their first strides or are experienced runners. This club will allow everybody who wishes to learn about running to enjoy a great activity with others. Our goal is to provide a fun environment that will get students interested in running and hopefully start a lifelong journey as runners.
The purpose of this club shall be to unite the women of the Blackburn Campus and establish empowerment amongst women on the Blackburn Campus, via both educational and social activities, involving as many students as possible. This organization shall represent the interest of females on Blackburn campus; and get them to bonding with one another.
The mission of Blackburn Spanish Club is to provide excellent learning opportunities to challenge all students. It is our vision to enrich the student body, faculty, and staff with the Spanish language and Spanish Culture. Our goal is to promote Hispanic awareness and appreciation throughout the campus. We hope to help students attain cultural understanding that will allow them to be well-rounded and culturally aware students.
Spectrum (formerly known as Blackburn Common Grounds) was originally established in 2003-2004 at Blackburn College. We welcome students, faculty, and alumni of all gender identities, all romantic and sexual orientations, and all allies to join us to educate ourselves and others on LGBT+ matters and history as well as assist the club in hosting events to show what LGBT+ culture is like. Our main event is Spectrum’s Annual Drag Show hosted every spring semester! Spectrum is also a SafeZone and all matters discussed during the meetings are strictly confidential. SAAC is a committee that every college with athletics has. It is there to provide a line of communication between student athletes and the faculty and staff. They are also there to bring together student athletes and the rest of the campus community.
The primary purpose of this organization is to promote environmental studies and awareness at Blackburn as well as Carlinville, provide students with the ability to complete projects in their area of interest that can lead to building a resume, create a long standing partnership with Beaver Dam, and campus beautification.
This club is to give students to have the forum to have conversations about politics. This club is meant to be both an informational and engaging organization for those who are interested in politics.
