Blackburn is happy to provide information regarding voter registration to our students and encourages each campus community member to exercise their right to vote.

Students needing to register to vote may do so by obtaining an Illinois Voter Registration Application available on the State Board of Elections website. Please visit the United State Election Assistance Commission to find information for registering in other states.

National Voter Registration Act
The 1998 Higher Education Act Mandatory Good Fair Effort for the National Voter Registration Act reads, in part, “The institution will make good faith effort to distribute a mail voter registration form, requested and received from the State, to each student enrolled in a degree or certificate program and physically in attendance at the institution, and to make such forms widely available to students at the institution.” Students can also obtain mail-in registration forms on campus. The State of Illinois has provided this link for students to use to print a voter registration form.
